Why A Car Is Better Than An iPhone
We’ve seen many trends come and go over the years, but the trend in question today has been one that affects the auto industry & technology as a whole. The debate over our youth and their gravitation towards the latest iPhone & other gadgets has put a dent into auto sales as a result of this phenomenon. So here’s the question many are beginning to ask: why is a car better than an iPhone?
We’ve seen automakers try to appeal to younger drivers by offering features such as Bluetooth connectivity & touchscreen media players, but we still see many younger patrons prefer the latest smartphone over an automobile. As an automotive “purist,” nothing in my mind is better than being out on the road in a car & enjoying what many used to call the freedom of seeing the world at our own pace. Not to say that owning an iPhone doesn’t give you the ability to see the world as well, but what good is seeing the world in the palm of your when you can actually take a car & see the rest of the world in person?
What ever happened to people taking an old fashioned road trip just because you could? Given the fact that today’s gas prices may restrict you from doing so on a regular basis, it still shouldn’t deter you from seeing the world one road at a time instead of relying on an app to view places you haven’t been to yet. My suggestion: get behind the wheel & leave all of your worries behind. And by worries, I mean gadgets, LOL…
