Ferrari To Unveil Its “Refreshed” Version Of The California Coupe At The Geneva Motor Show
For those of you who are devoted fans of Ferrari automobiles, you’ll be happy to know that the “Prancing Horse” brand has been diligently developing a successor to the highly popular California model. The California was one of Ferrari’s first 2+2 coupes with a retractable roof(2+2 refers to the seat configuration), and now we will be introduced to the next-generation California next month at this year’s Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland.
The new Ferrari California coupe will still sport a retractable roof & the 2+2 seat configuration, but adopts a more powerful 4.3-liter V8 engine & a handful of suspension upgrades to make this beautiful monster more of a beast on the streets. Horsepower & torque figures are upgraded from 454 & 357 to an astonishing 490 & 372, which provides more power throughout the entire RPM range, thanks to an upgraded exhaust manifold design & engine computer software tuning. Also, the suspension system adds a Handling Speciale package, which is managed by special software to respond accordingly to driving conditions & environments. As far as 0-60 times go with the new Ferrari California, we can expect times to be in the mid-3 second range, which is similar to the outgoing model.
The only bad news about the new Ferrari California I have to share, is that European citizens will have first dibbs on the new model once it hits showrooms(go figure). But don’t worry, we Americans will have an opportunity to get our hands on one. That is, if any of us can afford the price this beautiful coupe will carry…
